Abdominoplasty in Guadalajara is surgery done to correct protruding abdomen. It is ideal for people in good health, excess or sagging skin and weak abdominal muscles due to previous pregnancies or significant weight loss.
It takes place through a horizontal incision in the pubic region (similar to caesarean) laterally extending in different lengths depending on the shape of the abdomen.
An incision is made around the navel to isolate it and leave it fixed on its original site, then the skin is pulled down and all flabby skin, fat and stretch marks that are from the navel to the pubic bone is removed. Then the rectus muscles abs uniting reinforcing midline to remove the prominence of the abdomen and the oblique muscles are pulled to narrow the waist. The umbilicus is removed through an incision in the skin in the same position.
Most patients have deposits of fat in the sides of the abdomen and lower back, and in the upper portion of the buttocks, so that surgery is generally complemented by a Liposculpture of these regions to obtain an aesthetic result from all angles, sharpening even more and shaping the waist and buttocks. It can also be combined with other surgery such as breast augmentation.
Surgery is performed under regional anesthesia via an epidural block (similar to caesarean). It can be managed on an outpatient basis or ambulatory care for two nights in the hospital if this is more convenient. A pubis level drain are left on the body to remove serum formed in the early days, also a special bandage must be used for 6 weeks.
Very little pain after the surgery, occurring mainly in the areas of liposculpture. Pain is compared to a day after the first day at the gym, gradually decreasing over a period of 4 to 7 days. The following is recommended in the first 7 – 10 days after surgery: walk lightly in a hunched-back position and sleep with a couple of pillows under your knees.
If your deciding to have this procedure, it is advisable once your have decided not to become pregnant again or at least not get pregnant the next two years after surgery.
